Pokémon Legends: Z-A Official Free Downloads Available for a Limited Time

Pokémon Legends: Z-A players now have access to a whole host of different free Mystery Gifts, including a few that are only available in-person.

Per ScreenRant, Pokémon Legends: Z-A has officially brought back Mystery Gifts with multiple new offerings, all of which are totally free for players. Currently, Pokémon Legends: Z-A players can get four different Mystery Gift collections, though more are expected to be arriving soon.

What Gamers Can Get for Free in Pokémon Legends: Z-A Right Now

Up through March 31, 2027, Pokémon Legends: Z-A gamers can claim five Max Revives, ten Full Restores, and ten Ultra Balls by entering the code “PREPAR1NG.” Players can also receive a Garchompite Z Mega Stone by completing the “Special Distortion Detected” side mission in the game’s Mega Dimension DLC, as wll as a Mewtwonite X Mega Stone and a Mewtwonite Y Mega Stone for completing the main quest and “Project M” side mission.

If that weren’t enough, gamers who happen to make their way to official Pokémon Center Stores in Japan, Singapore, and Taiwan during their birthday month will be able to claim a free code for a Cherish Ball Audino in-game. That being said, anyone looking to do so will have to make their trip before Halloween, after which the Cherish Ball Audino code will no longer be available.

Released in 2025, Pokémon Legends: Z-A serves as the sequel to Pokémon X & Y, as well as a spiritual successor to the first Legends title, 2022’s Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Set five years after the events of Pokémon X & Y, players are dropped into the middle of Lumiose City, where they embark upon a thrilling adventure largely defined by the use of a real-time combat system.

Upon its release, Pokémon Legends: Z-A was met with generally favorable reviews from critics and gamers alike, reaching more than 1.5 million units sold within just days of its release, and more than 12 million units sold within the span of two months. Pokémon Legends: Z-A has also maintained a strong player base to call its own, which has only been further emboldened by the less-than-stellar response to Pokémon Scarlet & Violet in 2022.

Currently, fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Pokémon Winds & Waves, which will mark the tenth generation of mainline Pokémon titles when they are released next year. Pokémon Winds & Waves will introduce players to a brand-new region set within a tropical archipelago dotted with dozens of different island environments. Gamers will be able to explore this new region both above and below the ocean, the latter of which will reportedly showcase vast underwater sections with their own unique ecosystem.

In June, it was reported that a new set of leaks regarding the next generation of games had revealed not just how players will get around in Pokémon Winds & Waves, but which fan-favorite Pokémon would be responsible for ferrying them around. Reportedly, a Rotom Scooter will be introduced in Pokémon Winds & Waves, as will a new take on the Synchro Machine from Pokémon Scarlet & Violet‘s Terarium.
