Paddy Pimblett insists he could do the same to Charles Oliveira after impressive UFC 329 submission

Paddy Pimblett bounced back from his first UFC loss in the best possible way on Saturday night.
‘The Baddy’ was unable to become interim lightweight champion against Justin Gaethje this past January, but he may have moved to within touching distance of a rematch after his UFC 329 performance.
In the co-main event of Conor McGregor’s return card in Las Vegas, Pimblett choked out Benoit Saint-Denis in just 52 seconds.
That was the night’s standout display, and the confident Scouser thinks he could replicate it against his division’s legendary jiu-jitsu practitioner.

‘The Baddy’ looks to have options for his next outing after his memorable International Fight Week triumph.
In addition to Pimblett teasing a fight against McGregor days before UFC 329, he has also welcomed a grudge match with fallen ex-champ Ilia Topuria for the Spaniard’s return to action.
Another name high up the pecking order hoping to secure a rematch with Gaethje is Charles Oliveira.
Pimblett addressed that potential matchup during his post-fight press conference on July 11, vowing to tap out or choke out the man who has the most submissions in UFC history.
“I was talking about it 10 minutes ago, I’d submit Charles,” Pimblett said when asked if he has thought about a fight against Oliveira.
“I’ve got nothing but respect for Charles, you know what I mean? He’s an absolute legend in the sport.
“But he’s on his way out,” he continued. “I think if he tried to grapple with me, I’d submit him.”

‘Do Bronx’ became the holder of the symbolic BMF title earlier this year.
Oliveira submitted Holloway at UFC 326 to become the fourth champion in that category’s history, also following in the footsteps of Gaethje and Jorge Masvidal.
The Brazilian has yet to have his next fight determined, having missed out on being selected to welcome McGregor back from his five-year layoff on Saturday.
